Jangbu
Apple transfers rights to Aperture code to Affinity at little or no cost. Affinity acquires a stellar DAM and seamlessly integrates it into the Affinity Photo workflow. What's in it for Apple? They recover the good will they squandered when they kicked thousands of loyal Aperture users to the curb. Furthermore, Apple would tie Aperture/AP users to their hardware. Precedent: Google's acquisition of the Nik Collection. Apple, the world's most profitable company, can certainly afford to offer this good will gesture.
