My dearest Support-Friends, I have a big problem. Since my wife has birthday tomorrow I wanted to design a magazine styled voucher for her. I am good with designer and photo but I never practised with AFP even though I bought it...so: I chose an example template just to get familiar with everything but I never switched to a new document. The problem is: I can´t print it. I can´t copy my texts and pictures etc. as elements and move it to a new document. I´m totally fxxxd up :( I can understand that they don´t want their products to be copied but I just didn´t think of this before. What can I do? Any hints?

The examples from the Welcome screen are just for you to play with. They cannot be printed, saved, or exported, as they contain copyrighted information.

I think all you can do is start over from scratch.

wow, I am surprised they would go this route with the templates. They could have designed these, used free images they compiled themselves and given people some great starting points to create simple jobs while learning.

@k2themax   Welcome!  Can you make a screenshot of your work, or have you already closed it out?  If you have a screenshot, you can place that in a new document that is the correct size to be printed.   Not ideal, but it might be better than starting all over this time??

Hi wonderings,
These are not templates but samples files. Currently we don't provide any templates with the app (accessible through File > New, then Templates section, on the left column).

I get that, just seems like it would be better to provide actual working templates that you could print or save. Obviously someone learning or playing with the software was confused by this as I would be, not know why I can work on it but can't do anything else. Might be more rewarding to be able to learn and work on something and THEN be able to print or export and do what you need to do. Or make it clear that they are samples and cannot be printed.
