Hi all - did some searching but was not able to find the answer to this on my own.

I have multiple picture frames into which I've inserted links to another publisher file.  Each picture frame corresponds to a different page in that linked file.  I was able to successfully go through each one and assign the page numbers by double clicking on the picture frame with the move tool and using the drop-down in the context menu.  I've since closed out of the document, changed the linked file, opened the other file back up, and updated the linked file.  After doing those steps I no longer get the page drop-down in the context bar, and each picture frame has the thin black "X" superimposed over it.  All the pages are using the same master page.

I'm not sure what's going on here - any help would be appreciated.

Hi Stephenbdavies,

Welcome to the forums :)

Please could you check if the documents are embedded in the resource manager? Then when you go to change pages please could you try clicking the document clipped within the frame in the layers panel?

Thanks

Hi, Callum - thanks for responding. The docs are other linked publisher files.  They need to be linked, since I change them with some regularity over the course of development, unfortunately. When I double click on the frame it switches to the node tool instead of staying on the move tool, oddly enough.

Not sure I understand what to do in the layers panel.  Attaching a picture to show how that looks.  8 frames, each with the link nested inside.

I am not running into this issue if I don't use a master page, at least so far.  Could this be causing the issue if the frames are coming from the master?
