chippwalters Posted May 9, 2020 Posted May 9, 2020 How to do simple things in Affinity Designer? 1. How to use keyboard shortcuts to switch from corner node to smooth node? It's easy to switch to corner node, but the same shortcut doesn't toggle back to smooth node? 2. How to adjust the size handles on both sides of the node simultaneously? When I drag a handle on one side it doesn't automatically size the handle on the other side? Is there a shortcut or setting? Windows 10 Quote

Hi @chippwalters I am not a fan of the shortcuts to do 1 and 2, but here they are: You have to press left and right mouse button 😕 - I agree that the same shortcut should just toggle between the two node types. Click and hold both mouse buttons on a handle to move it and the other node simultaneously 😕 I would also like to see symmetrical nodes in Affinity Designer. telemax 1 Quote "The user interface is supposed to work for me - I am not supposed to work for the user interface." chippwalters Posted May 9, 2020 Author Posted May 9, 2020 Thanks. Wow-- as a UX designer I must say-- this is extremely strange! Quote

Best advice I can give is to look at the status bar at the bottom of the app window. When you hover the pointer over an element such as a node or node handle or bounding box handle, etc., the status bar tells you the modifier keys for the current tool. Quote
