Gordon G Posted May 9, 2020 Posted May 9, 2020 Hi I have invested in the Affinity suit of programmes. Designer, Photo and Publisher. Been doing well but getting confused with something not working s it was in designer. I have a Jpeg on my canvas and have gone into Pixel Persona to delete some of the background using Erase Brush Tool. The Tool is not working it is pasting a Nature Brush that I have in my Brushes. I do not know what I have done but I cannot get it to work like it was yesterday Can someone help me please? Regards Gordon Quote
PaulEC Posted May 9, 2020 Posted May 9, 2020 Have you tried going to the brushes tab and changing the brush to a plain one? Gordon G Posted May 9, 2020 Author Posted May 9, 2020 Yes I have tried changing the Brushes. The tool has nothing to do with the brushes I do not understand what I have done to make it so Quote
crunchysqueak Posted May 9, 2020 Posted May 9, 2020 Gordon The erase brush tool in pixel persona should take the form of whichever brush you chose from you brushes panel. If you can't change the brush form there might be something else wrong. Quote

The Erase Brush Tool is certainly a form of brush, and can/will be affected by brush settings for the kind of brush you last used This may also be related to settings in the Assistant Manager (View > Assistant Manager) You might check how yours is set, and play with the other settings (particularly the bottom one). JennKlub Posted June 3, 2020 Posted June 3, 2020 (edited) I am having the same problem. Smart sharing is already in place, and I have imported and even done "open with" 3 times. I see it has supposedly been applied, because it says "frankentoon concept master etc 3," yet it still will not show in designer. Nor in publisher. It does show in photo, and I made sure each one has the smart sharing between tools. oh boy, it sure has been a long time since I have done proper graphic arts... even so, I was a photoshop and corel paint user. I found it via the tutorial. You have to go to the pixel persona mode, which is in the upper left hand corner, just below the "file" category on the toolbar (not in the dropdown menu, literally a little icon just below it). Are you talking about having a problem installing brushes? If so, can you provide a pointer to the brush pack you downloaded or purchased? Gordon G Posted June 3, 2020 Author Posted June 3, 2020 Jenn- the Frankentoon brushes need to be Imported on Designer. Then you use the Paint Brush Tool (B). Select the brush you require and audit should work. Quote
Gordon G Posted June 3, 2020 Author Posted June 3, 2020 Select the brush you require and it should work - You do need to Import the brushed to each module of Affinity. Quote
