Split/Mirror Views: Before & After Arrangement

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Currently, when using Split/Mirror views to compare the 'before & 'after' effects, the 'after' view appears on the left side of the screen, with the 'before' image on the right side.

For whatever reason, this feels unnatural to me: I would prefer the 'before' image on the left side, with the 'after' image on the right side, please.

Also, would it be possible to include this facility in the Photo Persona?

Thanks,

Doug

Added 'Photo Persona'.

Interestingly, the description in Help respects this (correct) logic.

I am not going to say that all similar editing programs read left to right but the majority seem to.

I assume, that the "timeline" is natural for most users to understand.

Even better would be to have the option to flip it either way, as well as to make the split vertical (top/bottom) rather than horizontal (left/right) depending on the task at hand.

The only way I could realistically see this happening would be to add it to individual adjustment layers and/or live filters, as Photo by nature is "destructive" and there would be nothing to compare to in most cases when working in the Photo persona.

Let me just add that this is a natural perception for others as well.
