I have placed guides where text boxes and images are placed. Everyday when I open the document i saved yesterday, text boxes and images are shifted all over my document. What's goiing on?

You will need to give us more information.
For instance, what do you mean by “shifted all over the document”?
Can you, at the very least, give us a full-screen screen grab of what the document looks like after you save and what it looks like after you re-open it? If you can share the document with us then that usually helps.
Also, which OS are you using?

Also, you say "everyday when I open the document I saved yesterday." Does it only happen overnight, or does it happen any time you close and then reopen the document?

OK I will see if I can get you a screen shot. I am not certain on the answers to your specific questions. So far it seems likely overnight because I usually work on the project in spurts and leave it open while I do other things. This is not a commercial project, it's a personal one. In the past I used Indesign to design catalogues and updates for a music business I had as well as designing some books and the various printed parts of CDs I sell. The last of these were done with Indesign so I am pretty much a novice with Affinity and somewhat rusty overall as projects these days are few and far between as I am retired.
