Find and replace issue

Hi people.

I haven't been here for a while, I hope all of you are still chugging along well.

My problem is:

I'm trying to replace a string of six asterisks with a paragraph return. I get the error: "<Invalid preceeding regular expression prior to repetition operator>".

Why might that be?

Going to have to escape the Asterixs AsterI Asterixes ... Asterisks (expletive deleted)

try changing ****** to \*\*\*\*\*\*

EDIT

* is a wildcard and that is why it must be escaped.

Or, use a Normal find/replace not a regular expression find/replace. Then ****** is a literal automatically and no escapes are needed.

My theory is that he cloned himself and works 24 7 keeping up with what he has/they have learned and then passing it on.

No, he just needs to spend more time working on other things, instead of playing on the computer.
