Spell-check and dictionary problem

Recommended Posts

My iPad default language is Dutch and the Dutch dictionary is enabled. Designer is set to default. The spell-checker however doesn’t recognise any Dutch words. Is that a (known) bug?

This isn’t helped by the fact that the spell-checker can’t be turned off per document and that the option to turn it off for a text frame doesn’t retain its setting.

Welcome to the forum FvG :)

We're sorry for the delay in replying. At the moment there isn't an option within our iPad apps to change the default language for the spellchecker, sorry. The issue with the spell checker setting not being retained is logged with our developers.

Hi;

Reacting on this same matter, but installed on a MacBook Pro.

Although I've activated Dutch spelling, it doesn't seem to have a Dutch Dictionary installed, where can I find/download that language to install?
Presuming there is one to be downloaded... ;-)
