antong
Hello I wonder what is the logic behind operations with simple shapes. I've got 2 bars with outline and would like to merge them into one cross without gap. Could you please give me a hint how can I do that? Thanks Edited May 7, 2020 by antong
PixelPest
Select both and go Boolean add (Layer->Geometry->Add) should do.
GarryP
Can you attach an example document which demonstrates the problem? I have been able to replicate the Merge Curves result (which can be ‘fixed’ by changing the Layer Fill Mode) but not the Geometry Add result (which works fine for me in my limited testing). G13RL
For me (Windows), If the bars are lines with an "Outline" fx, "Merge" works. "ADD" also works after "Expand Stroke" even if the line thickness increases after the operation. If the bars are shapes, "ADD" works. markw
It might also be important as to which version of Designer the OP is using? The latest version is 1.8.3 but before this there was a significant bug with some boolean operations in v1.8.0 & v1.8.1 that gave unexpected results similar to those shown in the first post.
