Designer1
Hello Gabe, I still can't do that. The files are subject to a contractual nondisclosure agreement. The IDML file was provided by a large publishing company. The publishing company works with InDesign. Now I have the problem that Affinity Publisher crashes immediately. The IDML file is 455 kb in size. I have Windows 10.
Designer1
Gabe, .IDML was created from .indd
Wosven
Do you have ID and can you open it the test which page (or if all the pages) can't open? Was it made with a plugin that prevent opening the file if it's not installed? (It can happens in ID, not sure if it would in APub)
Staff Gabe Posted May 7, 2020 Staff Share Posted May 7, 2020 If you can't provide the file, or a stripped down version that still crashes, there's not much we can do. We would need to work with the file to see what's wrong. You can try the latest beta and see if it's any better: https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/forum/58-publisher-beta-on-windows/
Designer1
Gabe The IDML file can be opened immediately with BETA 1.8.4.651. Please update Publisher 1.83 in the Windows Store as soon as possible!
