Spell checking and Hyphenation

Recommended Posts

Hi,

as you know, nowadays we get more and more texts that contain text written in more than one language. Because of this, "Character Language" in "Text Styles" is not so usefull anymore. Spell checking and hyphenation must be dynamic. In other words, you must detect segments of texts with specific language and offer spell check and hyphenatio rules for it.

If a hyphenation dictionalry does not exist, then one must be created with the name of the keyboard used for entering the text (UK hyphen, MK hyphen...), offer the user to add discretionary hyphens to the word and save it.

If user clicks on a red underlined word*, two situations may occur:

1. If spell check dictionary exists, you display a pop-up window with following options:
a) a list of suggested words for replacing all instances of the word in entire text;
b) an option to enter a new replacement word if not in the list and to add it in the dictionary;
c) an option to enter the word in the dictionary, if not found.

2. If spell check dictionary does not exist, one must be created with the name of the keyboard used for entering the text (UK spellcheck, MK spellcheck...) and you display a pop-up window with following options:
a) an option to enter the word in the dictionary, if not found;
b) an option to enter a new replacement word if not in the list and to add it in the dictionary.

* I use simmilar utility for Macedonian language, but I don't have for other ones.
