JamesNL
"At least one file is currently being developed. Please complete or cancel before quitting the application"....?? I have 9 images open in Affinity Photo...what is the shortest/quickest way to locate this image(s), to finish quit command? Thank-you in advance,
Staff Callum Posted July 27, 2015 Staff Share Posted July 27, 2015 Hi James Welcome to the forums. This message will appear if you are in the develop persona with one of your images. The Develop persona is the default persona when opening Raw image files. If you check along the top of all of your open tabs you will see the extension of the photo open inside them you can use this to see if you have any Raw files open in the program. Once you have located the photo that is in the Develop persona you can click the cancel button at the top left to switch back to the Photo persona allowing you to close the program. JamesNL
Thank-you. .JPG, .NEF are coming up. Some have an (m) after them. Some also have no extensions after the DCS_0000 in the Affinity tabs (yes, I find that strange). So..to glance at the tabs and then locating the RAW file to check if one is still in develop persona...then develop or cancel it - that's fastest way to locate and quit? Staff Callum Posted July 27, 2015 Staff Share Posted July 27, 2015 Hi James, At this moment in time that is the fastest way to quit the program when you have multiple photos open and one is in the Develop persona. JamesNL
Thank-you. Appreciated. Very much like this software. I also appreciate the vimeo vids. At this stage, is there an "up and running" tutorial on online handbook that covers the basics of the interface? J
Staff Callum Posted July 27, 2015 Staff Share Posted July 27, 2015 Hi James, We currently have a video that gives a brief tour of the software and explains the various tool bars etc. You also have the in program help available which can be accessed by going to Help > Affinity Designer Help. Inside this help panel there are guides available for all of the assorted tools and sections of the workspace available in the program. Max Gr
Hello, I must say I share the views of the OP regarding the fact that having to click "cancel" for each raw open is not convenient. Sometimes, I open a lot of raw files and need to close them one by one before I can quit. I understand it may be better this way to avoid losing setting etc. However, the implementation of an option allow to quit anyway could be really useful. Thank you. AlexRonda
Yeah, a think that implementation will be extremly usefull if you load more than 2-3 raw only for rewiew... The Olderfleet
Yes, I agree also. An option to Close All and agree to lose changes in unsaved work would be acceptable. My workflow sometimes involves opening multiple RAW files (.CR2) but only developing those that are of acceptable quality. It would actually be convenient to be able to shut everything down quickly because I know that I have already worked on those files that I want to keep.
