Curve not responding to Add or Subtract Functions

Hello Affinity Community,

I'm having some trouble with this specific curve, the "swirl". It was originally made in inkscape. Now when I try to use the add or subtract functions with other curves with it, it completely messes up. It is a closed cure as far as I know. See attached file and screenshots.

1. Select the Swirl 1 Curves object.
2. On Layer > Fill Mode, change "Winding (Non-Zero)" to Alternate (Even-Odd)."
