Snapping to guides while dragging objects

Recommended Posts

I don't know if this is a bug or a feature that needs to be included or if the feature is available and I don't know how to enable it.

I created a document, dragged out a vertical guide from the ruler, created a box shape.

While clicking and dragging the box towards the guide I created, I would expect the box to snap to the guide while dragging over it, but it doesn't. I have to release the box, then drag it to the guide, then it will snap to it.

Is there a way to enable this snapping action?

Thanks!

Hi @Kevin1,

Welcome to the forums :)

Please make sure the following option is ticked, in your snapping settings -

I hope this helps!

Please note -

I am currently out of the office for a short while whilst recovering from surgery (nothing serious!), therefore will not be available on the Forums during this time.

Should you require a response from the team in a thread I have previously replied in - please Create a New Thread and our team will be sure to reply as soon as possible.

Many thanks!

Also, make sure you're not holding one of the modifier keys while dragging.
