robw349
HI I am trying to curve text into a uniform circle, say, like a ring donut. Can anybody point me in the right direction please before I pull the last of the hair out. There must be a pre-set way of doing this without having to go all long winded with the little handles and stuff.
Dave Harris
In Designer, create a circle with the Ellipse tool. Hold down shift to make it a perfect circle. Then use Layer > Convert to Text Path. By default this uses the top and then the bottom half of the circle. Type the text for the top half, then press Return, and type the text for the bottom half. Use the Baseline button in the context toolbar to adjust so they line up (it will snap to useful positions). If you don't want the two halves thing, then you have to adjust the little triangle handles, but they too snap to useful positions so it shouldn't be too fiddly. RoelBego
Is there a way to get the text on the inside of the stroke? So that text on the bottom-side of the path isn't upside down?
Staff MEB Posted January 14, 2016 Staff Share Posted January 14, 2016 Hi RoelBego, Welcome to Affinity Forums :) Just press Enter. It should now be placed inside. Then adjust the small triangles to position it as you want. LION 1 Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software | Affinity Quick Reference
