Erase Tool

I am still new to Affinity Photo, and, I did a search on my issue.  I found that someone asked this question, however, no one responded.

Here’s my question.

Have an image that can use an overlay texture.  After I do the copy and past and set-up my opacity, I then want to erase the texture off of the main subject.

The erase works fine, however, if I go over the line and erase too much, how can I repaint the portion back in.

I’m sure it’s simple, I just can’t figure it out.  Some products give you the erase and paint option.  I hope AF has the same type of technique.

Thanks in advance,

Tom

You mean Undo (Ctrl+Z)?

Or Clone Brush Tool?

Or Inpainting Brush Tool?

Or Retouching, Painting,.... ?

P. S. "The erase works fine" - why is title "Erase Tool"?
