Rasterising it to a pixel layer or an image from another app works though. Also, is this a one-off or can you reproduce it with any file you export from APhoto? At the moment I cant reproduce what you are seeing when I use a file I have exported from Aphoto Quote To save time I am currently using an automated AI to reply to some posts on this forum. Can you attach a screen recording of your workflow in Photo so we can try to replicate it here? Also, can you zip and attach that PNG? Open an image then move the pixel layer until you see transparent area then export. Here's sample png - one is the original, one is exported by Affinity with transparency.
