Elena Paraskeva.png

For her Lockdown 2020 session, professional photographer Elena Paraskeva guides us through her entire editing process using her ‘Spring of the Eternal Mind’ piece she created for Affinity. Follow Elena’s workflow as she uses various tools to retouch the image and fix issues previously overlooked.

She’ll also show us her favourite ways to make a RAW file come to life using multiple adjustment tools to create contrast and make the colours pop. To try Elena’s method for yourself as you watch, she’s providing access to an LUT file that will instantly give your image the "Vogue" effect. The file can be downloaded for free from https://affin.co/LD2020ElenaParaskeva (for personal use only).

Elena will be available on YouTube’s Live Chat for this session’s premiere on Wednesday, 13 May 2020 at 4pm BST, or view the video on demand later.

Coming today, 11 May 2020: Creating a realistic photo composite in Affinity Photo with Joseph Cristina

Thanks for this Video-Series but this result does not convince me, esp. since it´s called "a realistic photo composite"..

image.png.92511e01b20aaf8fb9dafecde6e42fef.png

On one hand taking care of the shadow at the foot on the rock and
on the other hand completely ignoring the far too bright "upper" leg ?

Just take a look at the "before"-Person: it´s very dark since its almost a backlight-image.

Perhaps you want to get in contact with  Olivio Sarikas https://www.youtube.com/user/Multitude07/videos   for upcoming videos?

kind regards
Fritz

This one is of surprisingly low quality. The moment she painted the water on the beach deep blue everything collapsed totally. One of the worst examples I have seen in any tutorial. But possibly of some value to total beginners.

Otherwise some great work and inspiration in other sessions. It really is a great concept. And much better than many short tutorials showing individual features. Spreading these videos around youtube is perhaps much better than the classic jawdropping Serif marketing style. 🙂 Seeing is believing. Understanding how to tie the many features together in a workflow is essential.

But also important to let some pros show the tricks people would never figure out from fiddling.

  • "The user interface is supposed to work for me - I am not supposed to work for the user interface."
  • Computer-, operating system- and software agnostic; I am a result oriented professional. Look for a fanboy somewhere else.
  • “When a wise man points at the moon the imbecile examines the finger.” ― Confucius
  • Not an Affinity user og forum user anymore. The software continued to disappoint and not deliver.
