mack-diezel Posted April 27, 2020 Posted April 27, 2020 Hi there, I just opened Affinity Designer to install the smoke and cloud brushes I just purchased (I also used the place tool to load some PNG's that were included) and now my delete key no longer performs the delete function. Instead, it switches between "base box" and "regular bounds" (whatever that means, I'm not 100% fluent in the software, yet). Maybe I accidentally pushed the wrong button or something, but I don't remember doing anything wrong. I can still delete via right click, but that's no good for me as I rely on the convenience of the delete key to streamline my work. Just wondering if anyone could please help me with this, it would be greatly appreciated! :) Quote
Alfred Posted April 27, 2020 Posted April 27, 2020 Welcome to the Serif Affinity Forums, @mack-diezel. The default keyboard shortcut for switching between the base box and the bounding box is the period (full stop) key. Check the ‘Keyboard Shortcuts’ section under Preferences to make sure you haven’t accidentally set the Delete key to perform this function. mack-diezel Posted April 27, 2020 Author Posted April 27, 2020 Thanks for the welcome @Alfred! That seems to have fixed it, the backspace key was set to perform the delete function, so I went into keyboard shortcuts and reassigned the delete key to the delete function and now it deletes once more. I thank you kindly sir! Alfred 1 Quote
