HOW CAN I APPLY OBJECT STYLE IN AFFINITY PUBLISHER

Recommended Posts

Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums, Charles.

More details, please. What are you trying to apply an object style to, and how are you trying to do it?

Any screenshots, or a sample .afpub file available?

So, it sounds like you might want a global color, if I understand correctly that you want to be able to change that color in the future and affect several other shapes. But I don't think you can use a global color with an object style.

Another approach might be to make the shape a Symbol, and then changing the color of any of the copies would change all of them. But Symbols are not supported in the Publisher Persona of Publisher. You would also need to own the Designer product so you could use the Designer Persona in Publisher to create the symbols.

Perhaps someone else will have some thoughts that will lead to a solution, or further questions for you :)

I tried creating a symbol from Designer Persona but it still did not work. I had to still change the colours manually once I come back to Publisher Persona. May it is something Serif can work on the future. I'M IN LOVE WITH AFINITY ALREADY. I SEE A FUTURE OF LIMITLESS POSIBILITIES WITH AFFINITY
