I think the  Live Procedural texture filter is going to be the best option.

@haakoo You are correct I should have explained the problem better. Sorry about that.
No it's not a plugin I am trying to get the same results in affinity as I would in photoshop but I couldn't find the correct filter in affinity.
I have the full version of affinity photo I bought it a few months back.
I am working on a project where I need to make an image of two galaxies colliding with eachother. :)

You’re welcome, if I knew my math better I’d try and work out an equation, maybe some of the more math inclined can dib in as it would be a useful equation to make such as woodgrain.
