Combining two images together to make them look real like one image

Hi 

I’m struggling to get this right I’ve combined two images together and the best way to describe it is the image I’ve placed on top of the other looks like it’s just stuck on so you can tell they are different etc don’t look real can someone’s advise on how to match them up etc.

is the the brightness and saturation don’t know really please help

It is hard to tell/giving any advise if we don't see the picture/compositing you are mention. There are a lot of ways to achieve this, so can you please attach a screenshot.

yes brightness and saturation or any other brightness/color control works.
also you need to add shadow to make it look like real.

First you need to compare the background and the dog:

• the background is more colorfull, saturated, contrasted
• the background is a lot more yellow in the part where the sun fall
• the background is more pink-violet in some shadows
• the dog is too "white"
• the dog "floats", it lacks a shadow to feel real

I'll explain fast in fewimages, but you'll find a file as example, and don't forget to play with the adjustement layers to understand what they do, what to do or not!
