Guest Posted April 23, 2020 Posted April 23, 2020 When your PDF is completely vectorized (that is, all text was turned into curves on export), there won’t be any editable text in it. Hence, when you open it in Affinity Designer, you won’t be able to select any text and convert it to curves (again). Am I misunderstanding your question?
cje Posted April 23, 2020 Author Posted April 23, 2020 Yes you're misunderstanding. When opening a vectorized PDF in Designer, w/o having the proper font, the content will turn out wrong. This is a problem if you have a logo template which you need to use. If you instead had the option to import the text as "curve" (in addition to text) the design would have maintained in it's original form. I'm used to have both options; import text as "text or curve"

It's normally to get font based design manuals. And it's not normal to have all fonts installed. Opening/importing text as curves option should be added. Anyway, thank you for your clarification.
