Ctrl+Y not working on affinity designer

Recommended Posts

Nothing to do with the "save history with document" setting,it should always work if one wants to do redo through ctr+y
Take a look at the shortkey settings under preferences to make sure it is still set,you can also reset these to factory settings.
If that doesn't work you can reset the programe altogether by holding ctrl key clicking the program icon
Keep holding ctrl key till a menu pops up where you choose settings to reset.

Hello Arysa,

If you delete an object and press "Ctrl + Y", it won't bring it back.
Unless I'm mistaken, "Ctrl + Y" only works if you undo an action with "Ctrl + Z": if you do an action that you undo immediately with "Ctrl + Z", then "Ctrl + Y" will redo the action you just undone.

If you delete you need to ctrl+z to undo the delete action.
In this case ctrl+y would mean redo the deleting 😉
