Vector to Pixel for export to PNG

Recommended Posts

Have you tried exporting as png to see what it looks like?

I have. It comes out very blurry.

I then tried exporting to PDF since I've read this is one of the file formats that works better for vector -  exported file looks good.

However, the best PDF image quality resulted once I removed from certain objects; all the adjustments I applied from the Layer FX Studio (not exactly sure why that made a difference).

Once I unapplied any Layer FX, I tried the png format, again - still came out very blurry.

If the end result doesn’t need to be vector perhaps you could try a Merge Visible and then rasterise and export the new layer. At least it will have all the effects.

The pixel layer created when I Merge Visible looks blurry even in Affinity (same when exported). Not sure what else to mention about the document - I attached the file in case you want to take a look and possibly see a problem that I'm not aware of.

Truly appreciate all your help!

Yes, terrible!
I exported your original file as eps and loaded back into Designer. It looks good. I’ve attached the eps file below so you can open and see if ok your end.

eps opens ok for me. Image looks good in AD.

Been trying to research the eps format in order to figure out your thought process when you exported the doc to eps in order to import back to AD; and how this would help with the file eventually being exported to png. Were you trying to do something with the individual elements/objects while it was eps?

I simply opened the eps Version I had made, grouped all layers and copied group. Closed file and opened the afdesign version and pasted in the 'group' copy (just for a comparison). As you can see the original and the pasted copy of the eps version look identical. No changes were made to original. Just exported and selected eps as output. My default settings are shown below.
