When i was trying to install a palette, I keep getting this warning:  "This file does not have an app associated with it for performing this action.  Please install an app or, if one is already installed, create an association in the Default Apps Setting page."     so i opened my swatches, hit import palette chose Application Palette, but nothing happens.  I am missing a step here I believe, but being new to Affinity, not smart enough to know what to do to make this pallete import from my download.  thanks for help.  Phil

Welcome to the forums.

When you import a Palette – either As Application Palette, or As Document Palette – a file dialog should open allowing you to select the palette file. Does this not happen?
Also, which Affinity application are you using and on which OS?

P.S. Best to change your username if you don’t want bots scraping your email address off the site.
