Panorama Stitch Crash

Try to stitch 4 DNG files from DJI Mavic 2 Pro, APhoto show result, click OK, then shuts down.

Post-processed the DNG files to JPG and TIFF, did the stitch again, show result, shuts down when I click OK.

I've successfully stitched the panorama with those images.

I am seeing a few people report crashes with stitching panoramas and HDR merging and I've been asking them to enable WARP in Preferences > Performance to see if this prevents the crash. Would you mind giving it a go for me please?

WARP will generally be a lot slower and this is not a solution. I just want to see if WARP does not crash.

Oh yes, it works after making the change as suggested. And yes it is a bit slower than using my Nvidia graphic card.

Thanks for letting me know. I will pass this back to the developers. 

If you haven't already, try uninstalling your Nvidia drivers and installing new ones (instead of just updating them).

It didn't work even after cleaning up and reinstalling the Nvidia driver.

Dear all

I had exactly the same prolem. Affinity always crashed when trying to create a panorama. Sometimes while rendering it... sometimes when cropping it. Sooner or later it crashed. But it worked with the setting: Performance --> Rendering --> WARP. But WARP somehow had other disadvantages (slow, pictures seemed somehow foggy, ...). But when WARP works, the problem needs to be somehow my GPU. Just reinstalling the NVIDIA driver did not help because I've chosen the wrong driver. It's important not reinstalling the "Game-Ready-Driver (GRD)", you need the "Studio-Driver (SD)". I have a NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER and with the following procedure it worked:

1) Download the STUDIO DRIVER from the NVIDIA page

2) Install this driver --> Important select "Custom installation" and then the option to clean current installations.

Then you are done and it should work (at least this was the solution in my case).

I hope this helps other Affinity users as well.

I really prefer using my Nvidia GTX 1660 Super in running AF. Will try and let you know if it works.

I reinstalled the Nvidia driver, clean studio version, AF works out the panorama stitch beautifully. Many thanks for the suggestion.

Nvidia studio driver works for a while but crashed after another Affinity update (version 1.8.4)
