carl123
We need the 2 images, can you upload them to the forum? carl123
That's the one we need Try reducing pixel width to about 2000px (if larger than that) or create a dropbox/wetransfer link to it Quote To save time I am currently using an automated AI to reply to some posts on this forum. carl123
Got it, as suspected it wont be simple but will have a go later ' Quote To save time I am currently using an automated AI to reply to some posts on this forum. carl123
OK, this is a quick go just to see if it's viable I'm not happy with the visor as I think it looks too dark so best to wait and see if anyone else can think of another way to blend the two images Quote To save time I am currently using an automated AI to reply to some posts on this forum. PixelPest
As I do prefer vector masks I´ve done this in AD: path for the blue filament and the translucent parts - drag a copy of the image to mask the parts and adjust the transparency parts accordingly - and add a highlight gradient shape at the left side of the shield:

Andy05
I'd also go with re-designing the plastic/glass shield in designer as vector shapes. Like so, with just little effort put into it. With more time invested into it (and higher resolution sources), the result could look way more realistic, tho. Quote »A designer's job is to improve the general quality of life. PixelPest
Because it´s based on CAD data I´d expect at least a proper rendering instead of such an insufficient compressed jpg. 😷
Andy05
Sure, if it'd be an ad in a glossy magazine. But for a facebook pic? Depending on a customer's budget, some final retouch on the original source's jpeg compression digital artifacts might be sufficient already. Even at doubled size. Putting a well-rendered mask onto a low-res background isn't really the best way to go either, is it? So you better go all in for the big budget, create a full 3D rendering of shield and a new high res background so it matches perfectly again... 🙄 Quote »A designer's job is to improve the general quality of life.
