Janabanana
Hi there, beginner's question: I've made changes to my photo using different layers and effects. But what do I do after that? How do I save my new photo with all the changes? Thank you!

How do I save my new photo with all the changes? I'll assume you're editing an existing image in JPG, TIFF, or PNG format. In that case, File > Save (or a shortcut as suggested by Mikerofoto) will save it, but only if it does not have any layers added. If you've added layers, then you'll be prompted to Flatten the image before saving. And if you do that, those layers are merged and you can't edit them further after that. Also, if you FIle > Save you've lost your original, which might not be a good idea. So the real question will be what you want to do in the future. If you want to be able to work on the image in the future, with the layers intact, your best choice might be to File > Save As and save it as a .afphoto file to preserve the work for future editing. You can then File > Save and agree to Flatten the image if you want to lose your original, or use File > Export to save it as a JPG, PNG, or TIFF with a new name.
