ALL the editing facilities have vanished, leaving only pics. visible.

See what I mean?

1. WTF happened?

2. How do I get them back?

Keeps saying "Upload failed" - BUT - FAILED to tell me WHY!

Unless  -200 is a clue.

Apparently I can bin the one I upload, but not bin the THREE greyed out but visible failures.

Mistyped my name - there's NO "S" in it.

That's OK. The "Title" field when you create a topic is really for a short description of your problem/question, to help others who are looking at the topics. It's not for your name or your title (Mr, Dr, etc.).

So it would be better if you would click the Edit button at the bottom of your first post, and then update the title field, anyway :)

Also, welcome to the Serif Affinity forums.

Perhaps you have hidden the UI (User Interface). Try pressing the Tab key, or use the menu View > Toggle UI.

I get the -200 message if I try to upload images wider than about 1200px (eg full-width screenshots). I think it's the forum software. Resize the grab to about 1000px and try uploading again. The grey boxes will disappear eventually.

And yes, press tab.

"NO eye Deer" who I'm answering. I found most of what I want thanks  -  BUT it's not as part of the GIMP set up, it's along the top, where the prog name is.

e.g. on this "Page" I'm seeing all the "File", "Edit",  "View", "History", etc.  along the top, in no way connected to the "Chrome"© Browser; that's where I didn't expect the GIMP facilities to be.

I don't claim to have it all, still discrepancies - blame senile delinquency.

Thanks to those concerned.

;¬)

But

 : ¬ (

Every time I try to add a screen grab it fills the page & what I've typed vanished so I gave up trying.

HOW MANY times do i have to click "I am not a robot" before it posts?

OR for that matter how many DOZEN image to select? I'll start counting them now.

3/9; 3 more; another 3/9; and AGAIN!; 4/16 now; 4/9; 6/16

Told it I am not a Robot 10 times in succession without any pictures.

17 more √ - followed by pictures. 3/9 pictures 3 more out of 9 pics

3 more USA Fire Hydrants

3/9 stairs

3/9 Zebra crossings

It seems I had to join again with a different emailaddress to get this on.

I'm nano metrres from quitting beforer i start.
