PaRunk
I know such a tool from other graphics programs and use it quite often to create very special effects. It would be nice if this tool was also available in Designer.

There are several ways in AD to align objects ('Layer > Alignment' and the toolbar icon 'Show Alignment Handles'). Cheers, d. PaRunk
Now the function of the alignment tool (also called adjustment tool) would be to connect two objects with each other and to adapt the shape and color to the other in several stages. The intermediate stages are linked to a path that can be changed later. This means that very complex design patterns can be created. I'll attach a picture. The examples aren't exactly the best now, but you can see what the tool should do.

This kind of tool is usually called 'blend tool' (or also 'morph tool') in these forums because it blends from one kind of shape (or attribute) to another. This feature request has been discussed several times and basically it is planned to have that feature at some time. But it is completely unclear at which time. See e.g. this thread: or this thread: Cheers, d.
