The Stock Panel is way useful as it is, but I want more 😊. I'm spending time watching AP videos, and when I see something I'd like to try, I like to use a similar image. They're easy to find on the Stock Panel, but once I find one, how do I open it in AP?

I don't know its size so I can't create a new project of the right size. I can't copy it into the clipboard and "New From Clipboard". I can't drag it into AP with nothing open. I can't drag it onto the desktop. All I can do I double-click to open the image on the website and download it.

So, how about a context menu for the images in Stock Panel that would allow me to "New From Image"? Or allow me to drag the image into AP with nothing open? Or both? 😊

One approach, for now:

  1. Create a new document; don't worry about the size. Then
  2. Drag the image from the stock panel onto your document. Then
  3. Either resize it to fit your document approximately, or select it in the Layer panel, Copy, and File > New from Clipboard.

But I like your suggestion.

Similar to what Walt suggested, but...

  1. Create a new document; don't worry about the size. Then
  2. Drag the image from the stock panel onto your document. Then
  3. Document > Clip Canvas

The document will be automatically resized to the size of the image

For me the stock panel is very useful when it comes down to search for references while drawing. An issue I have with the stock panel is that the images are very small and that there is no option to increase the size like a small slider on the bottom for the image sizes or a setting in the stock panel. I would love to have the option to view the images in a bigger format while drawing. That would save me a lot of time importing them or viewing them external in bigger size.
