krellomat Posted April 18, 2020 Posted April 18, 2020 I saw this was an issue a while ago, and it doesn't seem to be fixed. I tried importing brushes (one set purchased form Affinity and a free PS-set), and it won't do it. Is there a workaround? Quote
walt.farrell Posted April 18, 2020 Posted April 18, 2020 Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums. "It won't do it" is rather vague. What happens when you try? What set did you purchase from Affinity? Did you read the installation guide? krellomat Posted April 18, 2020 Author Posted April 18, 2020 Thanks! I open the file (open with...) and Designer tells me I've successfully imported the brushes, but they're not in the menu. I also tried the "Import Brushes"-command, to no avail, restart and all. I purchased the Glitch set from Affinity. In Affinity Photo, for wich I bought them originally, I was able to import them just fine. Quote
walt.farrell Posted April 18, 2020 Posted April 18, 2020 You've imported them just fine The set from Affinity is a set of raster brushes or you wouldn't be able to use them in Photo. You can use raster brushes in Designer, too, but you need to use the Pixel Persona. If you're in the Designer Persona you can only use vector brushes. That probably also explains the other set of brushes you installed. krellomat Posted April 18, 2020 Author Posted April 18, 2020 omg you're right. Thank you so much! I guess I have to wrap my head around vector vs. pixel a bit more. Quote
walt.farrell Posted April 18, 2020 Posted April 18, 2020 You're welcome. That seems to surprise a lot of people.
