JustinAddison
I copied and pasted text from a document into Publisher (latest version - 1.8.3). I am using a text style that I have used previously with no problems. For some reason there is an extra space between paragraphs. I go to the line, hit backspace, and nothing happens. If I reduce the indent to zero, it gets rid of the extra space. But I need the text to be indented (first line of paragraph). Is this a bug, or is there some setting I need to fix? Thanks. GarryP
The indent should not affect the space between paragraphs. Can you give us a screen grab showing both your text and the Paragraph Panel?
JustinAddison
Sure. Here you go. As a quick note: I'm switching over to Publisher from InDesign. So my terminology may be a little off. Thanks for your help.
GarryP
Sorry, I should have asked you to show the Paragraph Panel as it looks when the text cursor is within the paragraph where the problem is, so we can see the formatting of that paragraph. Also, can you indicate (or explain) where the “extra space between paragraphs” is please? I only ask as it looks okay to me but I don’t know how it is supposed to look. Wosven
You should keep specials characters visibles (Text > Show specials characters), and check your paragraph styles. The default "12 pts before paragraph" is an hindrance that can come back… if the styles are not "pure". Select one of those paragraphs, and check in the Text style panel.
