Brushes leave banding on screen? Any one know why?

Recommended Posts

When I paint with certain brushes, mostly imports from Photoshop brushes, they leave bands of solid colour on the screen.

happens on both desktop and iPad.

these images are both the result of continuous brushing.

it only happens with non-native brushes?

Thanks

My guess is the brush contains a Base Texture (to simulate texture of canvas/paper/etc.) that has not been converted correctly when the brush was imported into Affinity and so that texture is not being tiled as one would expect.

Ah I see. That makes sense. Hmmm. I wonder if the brushes can be ‘fixed’  in that case. How does one pull apart a brush?

It was only a guess :)

I think you should offer to provide the Photoshop brush to the Affinity team so they can investigate.
