Tony Cotterill
Any idea why Affinity would suddenly start to crash when I try to access the Resource Manager window? It's not happening ALL the time but mostly, and for certain files. I have attached what I believe is the relevant crash report. Grateful for any help, Cheers, Tony 0dd10615-4703-4e96-8e3c-3340eb3008a4.dmp
Staff Pauls Posted April 29, 2020 Staff Share Posted April 29, 2020 Do the problem files contain lots of linked image or afphoto files?
Tony Cotterill
Yes, I believe they do have a fair few linked files, some of which are undoubtedly afphotos. Is this a problem? Should I not link to afphoto files?
Staff Pauls Posted April 29, 2020 Staff Share Posted April 29, 2020 It's a possibility - but I'm not 100% sure as the crash report looks more like what we see with a graphics driver related problem. Could you send me the publisher file via this secure link and I'll see if the problem can be replicated here
Tony Cotterill
Well, embarrassingly, I can't remember exactly which files gave me the issue - I'm working on quite a few. Also, I haven't encountered the problem recently, ever since I split the files into smaller sections, so I suspect it is a memory linked issue. I only have 8Gb of RAM and I'm going to look at upgrading it after lockdown. So.. Thanks for your reply but I may just be wasting your time. Let's let it ride for now and if it happens again I'll come back to you. Cheers, Tony Pauls
