pete hoag
Greetings, Why when you copy text from a pdf document in Publisher and paste in another page each line of text is in its own text box instead of the entire text as it was originally copied & pasted? It makes it very difficult to edit. Edited April 16, 2020 by pete hoag added content
Staff stokerg Posted April 21, 2020 Staff Share Posted April 21, 2020 Hi pete hoag, Do you have the afpub file for this and the PDF you are copying from?
wonderings
How are you copying the text? I just tried with a PDF brochure I was setting up that had a lot of text. I selected the text in Acrobat DC, copied and pasted into a blank publisher document. All the text pasted in as you would expect in 1 text box. What PDF viewer are you using? Are you selecting the text or a text box in your PDF viewer and copying that?
pete hoag
Okay, so what I have been doing is importing my pdf in publisher and then trying to copy. I guess thats not the way to do it, however in page plus I was able to append a pdf to the end of my page plus document.
pete hoag
Wonderings, I just tried coping and pasting from Adobe and it didn't work. All kinds of miscellanous characters.
wonderings
All I did was copy a paragraph of text from a PDF I made with InDesign, made a new document, and pasted the text perfectly. Can you go step by step what you did then others can try the same and see if it is repeatable.
