fotoaltamira
Hello Affinity, I did not find the way how to save path like clipping path for using it later in other applications like InDesign... I hope in Affinity Publisher soon :-) I'm using the latest version 1.3.4 Thank you very much, Jirka

Jim_Campbell
I'll confess that I've stopped using clipping paths almost entirely, since I can just import a .psd file on a transparent background into ID for the same effect.
hannifelix
I'll confess that I've stopped using clipping paths almost entirely, since I can just import a .psd file on a transparent background into ID for the same effect. Well, since I have worked with clipping paths for a period of decades now I find it hard to figure out another way of achieving the same exact results as I so far did. How can you isolate an item from its background so exactly that the quality will match the result you can get by using Adobe's vector path? Any information that brings me forward as to this issue would be fantastic.
Staff MEB Posted August 23, 2015 Staff Share Posted August 23, 2015 Hi hannifelix, Welcome to Affinity Forums :) You can draw a path with the Pen Tool around the object you want to isolate, then drag the source image layer over the path layer you just created in the Layers panel to use it as a clipping path.
