Affinity Trading Cards

Recommended Posts

Here’s a little experiment I’ve been playing around with lately.
Mostly done in Designer, with a little help from Photo.
It’s not exactly how I imagined it was going to be at the start but I’m reasonably pleased with it.
Useful suggestions and comments are welcome.
If I get some good suggestions for improvements I might make an updated version.

P.S. The ‘ratings’ on the cards are not meant to be any kind of critical review of the software. I just had to use different ‘scores’ to make it look a little bit more interesting.

P.P.S. Kept getting a -200 error on upload so I had to upload a fairly low-res version.

Kasper-V: Many thanks. I’ll get a Kickstarter campaign together for a print run. Only three cards in the set (so far), but that just makes it easier to collect them all. Might be lots of ‘swapsies’ though.

William Overington: Please see Wosven’s answer.

Fred Lespine: Many thanks.

malayali: Many thanks. Glad you like it.

Wosven: Spot-on. Cheers.

William: I was thinking about putting some more together based on the various wish-list items that have been requested in the forums: E.g. Asset Manager; Animator; Diagrammer; etc. I might give it a go, but no promises.

malayali: My idea was a kind of “Top Trumps” style of card, so having unique items wouldn’t work too well. Maybe a re-design would allow for your idea.

Shouldn’t that be obverses and reverses, or fronts and backs, rather than a mixture of the two? :/

Vectors, I'm guessing, pangloy?

The reactions seem a little excessive -- I expect they're feeling the strain of lockdown! 😊

Vector ?
No sir. I use Bitmap.

I capture screen and paste on Affinity Photo.
Make selection of GarryP's card and copy it.
Then  find photo of Yu-gi-oh on internet.

And mix them together.

Oh, I never thought of that -- I thought you'd drawn them. But your way is how I'd do it myself, so I should have guessed!

A very neatly done job.
