For example I create rectangular and convert it to curves. But if I click to one of its edge and want to delete it I delete whole shape form instead one edge only.

How can resolve this problem?

Hello, Tim Pro,

Once the rectangle is converted into curves, take "Node "Tool", select the two nodes at the ends of the side to be deleted, "Break Curve" (in the pop-up bar). Then click on the edge to be deleted (or select it in the layers) and press the "Delete" key on the keyboard.

G13RL just got in before me, but I’ll post my video anyway, in case it's useful.
If this is not what you need you will have to give us some more specific information.

Another question. And how can I make tools in 2 rows, like yours?

You’re welcome.
To get a different number of columns in the Tools Toolbar, use menu “View → Customise Tools...” and then choose a different number of columns at the bottom of the toolbar.

Wow... this is impressive...

1. Convert to curves

2. Select Node 1

3. Break curve

4. Select Node 2

5. Break curve

Reall Affinity? I thought you wanted to compete with Adobe, just make edges selectable.

Illustrator sux but it allows edge and node select / delete... just make that possible.

Super old thread, but just in case someone stumbles across it…

In the current version of Designer (1.10.4) on a Mac, one can hold down Control and click with the Node tool to delete a segment of a curve.

Thanks for bringing that up!

Still, I used to be an advocate for Affinity Designer at first, but I'm finding it uselessly harder to use than other softwares, namely because of their obsession to avoid using industry standards methods and keyboard shortcuts.

For example, there is absolutely NO valid reason not to let us use the delete or backspace key after selecting a vector to delete it.

I'm not sure Canvas acquisition will help them wake up, though...

Totally! Also why is that they have forums and no one pays any attention to these maters?
