Duncan Raistrick
I have pencil drawings (greyscale) of images that I want to colour. I want the colour to be tones of monochrome determined by a colour code that I can enter somewhere. I can see several ways to colour but not with precise control over the actual colour. If Affinity cannot do this is there software that can? I attach an example of what I want to achieve but with a colour that I specify. Thanks. h_d
Hi @Duncan Raistrick and welcome! One way is to convert the greyscale image to RGB, add a Fill Layer above the image layer, set its blend mode to Screen and then use the Colour Chooser panel to specify the colour: You can then export, leaving the original untouched. I'm sure there are other ways... Quote Affinity Photo 2.0.3, Affinity Designer 2.0.3, Affinity Publisher 2.0.3, Mac OSX 13, 2018 MacBook Pro 15" Intel. Duncan Raistrick
I tried this and it worked a treat. A few additional adjustments to get the intensity of colour I wanted but the base colour remains. Thank you. h_d
