Hi,

I am a noob with Affinity Photo (or Photoshop) and it took me quite some time to make this: a rugby player carrying an easter egg instead of the ball.

Question: how do I sharpen the edges of the egg? Now it looks kinda blurry. How do I solve this?

Thanks for the tips and tricks.

Chris

Difficult to answer without knowing what your Easter Egg originally looked like. Did you need to resize it? Rotate it?  How did you make the selection? Was this before or after resizing or rotating?

Not sure how/where you got the easter egg image but it you cut it out of a reasonably high quality image you should not need to do anything to sharpen the edges.

Hi @carl123 Taking a closer look at my easter egg, I can see that the object is not as sharp as the rest of the image (the player). Looking at your adjustments, I am sure it isn't ;-)

This is helpful, thanks. Next time I must take a closer look at the quality of the chosen image I would like to insert.

You might also consider adding a little shadowing to the egg to match the lighting around the player's arm ... unless the egg is a glowing, radioactive T-Rex egg or some such. 🤔
