Table of Contents: Resetting Table of Content style cancels the table

Recommended Posts

Here is my table of contents (TOC). It has the Toc 1: Entry table style. For some reason, the formatting of this style has been overridden. So I click on the 'T' icon to Reset formatting.

As expected, pressing the T icon has reset the formatting. However, it has also caused the TOC to be cancelled. The TOC text still remains, but it will no longer update and you can not longer change ToC options (or press the ToC update button - look at the TOC panel: Everything is greyed out)

I can confirm this is still happening. Somehow the TOC is getting formatting overrides that as far as I can tell were never applied. For example:

In the example above, it picked up my Italic character style, though I did not want it to, and I do not know how to make it stop. Further, it picked up the Hypherlink (character style?). I don't have any style by that name in this document, and I am nearly certain that I don't have any hyperlink anywhere in the document at all.

I dug up an older thread where I reported this bug myself, and turns out it has been acknowledged and added to the bug list by Serif back in September. We're just waiting for its turn to be addressed.
