Juan T Posted April 9, 2020 Posted April 9, 2020 How do you change the work space color in Affinity Designer? The default is white I need it black. Quote
R C-R Posted April 9, 2020 Posted April 9, 2020 Do you mean switching from the light to dark UI (done in Preferences > User Interface) or something else? The easiest way may be to draw a rectangle the size of the canvas and set its Fill to black. But black as the canvas color seems unusual. If you can describe more about what you're doing there may be other approaches to consider. That can be set in Preferences > User Interface. Only to greyscale values are supported but black is a grey so that would do it. walt.farrell Posted April 9, 2020 Posted April 9, 2020 A screenshot from @Juan T showing the application window and highlighting what he would like to have black might help. Juan T Posted April 10, 2020 Author Posted April 10, 2020 It's where you put a triangle coming from triangle tool for example in Affinity Designer. It's white by default. Quote

Thanks, but I think we still need to know your end goal, and how you plan to export your design. That "white" canvas really doesn't have anything on it. And, for example, if you were to enable Transparent Background for your document you would see it as a gray and white checkerboard pattern rather than white. So, what are you designing, and what format are you exporting to? But, as I said above, one method is to draw a rectangle and set its Fill to black. I've been searching for a million years to find out how to change the black workspace. I have plenty of artwork that has black edges or borders that disappear into the black workspace...... pleased to now have light grey. Thanks for the info. Quote
