IR_HL
Hi Just started using Affinity Publisher but I can't find a way to export (or import) the PDF export presets I have made within Publisher. Is this feature available? If not available through the interface can I find the preset file on my system and supply it to another user to drop into their location so they can use it? Many thanks, Iain
walt.farrell
Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums, Iain. There's no way to export or import those presets through the user interface (UI). If you're on Windows, I would expect them to be in %AppData%\Affinity\Publisher\1.0\user\file_export_options.dat and you should be able to copy that between users, at least as long as they're using the same version of Publisher. (The file would probably also work in Designer or Photo, at the same version.) If you're on Mac I defer to someone else Quote -- Walt Designer, Photo, and Publisher V1 and V2 at latest retail and beta releases PC: Desktop: Windows 11 Pro, version 23H2, 64GB memory, AMD Ryzen 9 5900 12-Core @ 3.00 GHz, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Laptop: Windows 11 Pro, version 23H2, 32GB memory, Intel Core i7-10750H @ 2.60GHz, Intel UHD Graphics Comet Lake GT2 and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Laptop GPU. iPad: iPad Pro M1, 12.9": iPadOS 17.3, Apple Pencil 2, Magic Keyboard Mac: 2023 M2 MacBook Air 15", 16GB memory, macOS Sonoma 14.
IR_HL
Thanks Walt. I am indeed on Windows and I can see my preset name listed in the .dat file. Obviously if I share that file with another user it will include all my presets (rather than the one I wish to share), plus if they replace that file on their system they will lose any presets they had configured. It's a shame there is no option for exporting/importing these things (like there was in PagePlus) as professional printers like to share their presets to clients - it could help with the software's uptake in that market. I think I will add it as a feature request! Anyway, thanks again Walt. Iain
