Just started using Affinity today. When I open a RAW file and then use the noise reduction feature, it looks great.

Then I hit develop, and it looks like it reverts to the original image.

How do I preserve the edit so that I can save the photo with the noise reduced?

Thanks!

I am having the same problem, I have tried to do the process many times and when I hit develop it the changes that I made in "Develop Persona" are not saving. This happens with RAW and JPG files. Is there a way to fix this problem? I do a lot of night photography and these tools are essential for me.

you can find several topics about this issue in this forum.

for some users, the problem disappeared with the last version of ap (1.4.1).

others reported that exporting to jpg or tiff after developing, and then opening the jpg or tiff file revealed that the noise reduction effect was still there - and the issue was therefore a display problem.

some users wrote that applying some other adjustment, besides the noise reduction, solved.

apparently, this seems related to the camera brand/model.

take care,

I am having the same issue. I have a Nikon D3200 and this issue has just started. I tried starting from both RAW and JPEG and I get the same result each time. I have exported the file into both TIFF and JPEG and viewed them both with the same result each time, there even seems to be more noise than before. I cannot figure out what else I can do. The photo looks great before it is developed and it happens every time.
