After installing the 1.8.3 update on the Affinity publisher, I am unable to export PDF files that were exported simply fine before the update, without rasterizing the whole PDF. If I don't rasterize the file, I am greeted with the following message every time, no matter what I try to change:  "An error has occurred while exporting to...". Is there anyone else experiencing the same problem? Or is there any recommended fix?

Thanks for your time

It's exporting fine for me to most default profiles here.

Can you re-upload it but with the images embedded? What PDF preset are you exporting to?

I am using the PDF digital-high quality preset, but it's not working with any of the available presets no matter what I choose.

Thanks, I can reproduce it with the file with the embedded images in.

It's struggling to embed the ICC profile on the Weapon Master png, this is the sRGB IEC61966-2-1 black scaled profile. You can rasterise or change the profile on this image to export it for now

If you choose to convert it to CMYK on export it should also export fine. I've passed this onto the devs, as we made a couple of changes in this area which I think has exposed this error.

Thank you, that fixed the issue and I can finally export it as normal.

Experiencing the exact same issue, how annoying. Wasn't a problem with 1.8.2, but after updating to 1.8.3 I can no longer export as a PDF.

Help, please!

Same issue here, never had any problems with exporting pdf's up until the conversion to 1.8.3.... Always hate it when people only report having the same problems as the ones that previous reported the issue, without a solution, but in this case it might be of help to the Affinity Publisher designers that it definitely is not a coincidence as it seems!

Keep up the good work!

My apologies, but there are no other resources or support levels available. I've tested the same document in Designer and experiences zero issues.

HELP PLEASE!!!

If you're on a Mac, you can still 'Print' and save as a PDF. Unfortunately, I need access to hyperlinks and this solution doesn't transfer using this method. Adobe Acrobat can add them, but it's a nightmare when you need to make multiple versions of each document. Silence from Affinity, disappointing.

We have made fixes/improvements to this area (File fails to export ICC profile for PDF 1.6/1.7) of the program in the latest release.

The fixes and how to update are described in these forum posts.

We would appreciate you checking that this issue has now been resolved for you.
