Unwanted switching between windows when selecting fonts

Same happens here on Mac OS 10.12.6 I'll check on OS 10.14.6 later and if it does the same I will report back.

I also noted that trying to type in the second window would switch back to the first window.

Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.4
Affinity Designer 2.4.0 | Affinity Photo 2.4.0 | Affinity Publisher 2.4.0 | Beta versions as they appear.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.

Same issue Mac OS 10.14.6. Closing the other open documents fixes this but is not a preferred way of working only on one document at a time.

Update: I am unable to work now as the font will not stay to what I changed it to and it also jumps around to Safari windows too. Please help and hurry!

Hi mhennick,
I'm assuming you are working in Separated Mode. If you merge all document windows going to menu Window > Merge All Windows (still in Separated Mode) or exit Separated Mode entirely, it should work correctly without the need to close the other documents until we fix this.

We have made fixes/improvements to this area (Separated Mode: text related dropdown closes itself and switch focus to the next document) of the program in the latest release.

The fixes and how to update are described in these forum posts.

We would appreciate you checking that this issue has now been resolved for you.
