Selected objects of type Pixel, Mask, Adjustment, Live Filter and Fill will be affected, but the commands work regardless of there being a pixel selection (if none, the entire object(s) will be filled) and any tool can be active. The application has primary and secondary colours which can be applied by tools and commands. The two commands under discussion are designed to affect raster objects only - Pixel, Mask and the built-in raster mask of Fill, Live Filter and Adjustment.
